My name is Grandma Stella. I have 3 children and 8 grandkids. I love the mountains, I love to garden, (even though my knees don't agree with it much anymore) cook, spend time with my grandkids and family, and watch The Bold and The Beautiful.

My Life

I was born in Kansas in 1936. As a little girl I remember huge groups of planes flying over us to go fight in the war. My childhood was a fun time. After the war, I couldn't afford school so I started working and got married. We then moved to Wichita, KS, and then to Colorado and had 2 children. After some rough years, I got Divorced and moved to Illinois for a little while and then back to Galena, KS where I have stayed until this day.

All during that time, I was a single mother. I worked multiple jobs to support my children. The priority was my children; they were always more important than anything in my life. For most of my life, I was either staying home with the kids, or out working tremendous hours.

I always found time for my children, even with all the jobs and hours I worked. Coming home and seeing them at the end of every day made it worth it. I wouldn't do anything different in my life. I now live alone and enjoy the company of my family. We have dinner every Monday night and my grandchildren always visit me. True love and devotion is found in family and love. I'm glad to say that I have an abundance of that in my life.
